FIRE AT HASTINGS.

(United Press Association.) * HASTINGS, This Day. The Manor boarding-htfuse, containing 28 rooms, owned by W. H- Compton, an occupied by Murray and Spalding, was totally destroyed at 1 o'clock this morning. Nothing was saved, all the inmates escaping in scanty apparel. The insurances were : —Oh the' building, £750 in the "State Office; on the furniture, £4OO in the Northern Office. It was a wooden building erected 22 yeai*s ago.
