WELLINGTON FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKET. (Special to Mail.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. Messrs Townsend and Paul, Ltd., report as follows o? the Wellington fruit and produce market: —Owing to large stocks of American apples being held and laree quantities of rhubarb coming forward, local apples have d-ropped to absolutely half the prices ruling a fortnight ago. Green peas are easier on account of larger shipments. Gooseberries are in good demand, and currants are wanted. The following are ruling prices : ~ _ Pears.—Coles and Nelis, 9s to 10s per half-case. . , Apples.—Sturmers, 8s 6d to 10s; inferior. 5s to 5s 6d; American, 16s per case. „ . ~ Gooseberries.—9s to 10s half-case. Strawberries.—2s to 2s 6d per punnet. Lemons.—Local, choice, 10s to 12s. Green Peas.—Choice, lOd to Is peckOnions.—3os per cwt. to 6s per dozen. "-■Cucumbers.—6s 6d to 7s per dozen. Asparagus. —5s to 8s dozen. Beans!— Hothouse, 10d to lid per lb. New potatoes.—2£d to 3d per lb. Eggs.—ls 4d per dosen.
