A somewhat unusual case of forgery came before the Auckland Police Court on Wednesday,' when flDavfd! C. de Rungs was charged with forging a birth certificate and a. certificate of proficiency by altering them so as to make it appear that he was 15 years of age, instead of 16. The evidence showed that the youth made the alterations and sent trie certificate to the Railway Department, so as to obtain a position as an apprentice fitter.
