(United Press Association.) PUXEDIN, Oct. 7. A man named James Douglas, from Athol, arrived in Dunedin by the South express on Saturday. He was seen to leave the platform at about 7.40 p.m., and was afterwards found, under the wheels of a carriage, which, with others, was being shunted into position on the fourth line of rails from the platform. Ho was removed.to the Hospital, where his.left leg. which was badly smr.shed below the "knee, was amputated. His condition is critical. DUNEDIN, This Day.
