SYDNEY STRIKE
MIXERS STILL DISSATISFIED. LUMPERS AND SEAMEN* XOT AT WORK. (Pbkis Association. —Copyright.) ■SYDNEY, Oct. 4. Although further Northern collieries opened to-day, discontent is still evident in certain districts. The Kurri Kurri miners decided not to resume wok on the Maitland fields, maintaining that they are asked to accept humiliating and unsatisfactory conditions. Mr Fuller' announced that until the men are prepared to resume work at all the mines in a particular group none will be opened. The Federated Seamen and Firemen decided not to resume work until the wharf labourers come to terms, not bemuse of any grievance against the shipping companies, but owing to the question of sailing with cargo loaded by non-unionists.
Another meeting has been fixed for Monday, and in the meantime efforts will be'made to settle the wharf labourers' trouble.
