Nothing in this -world is so disastrous to a successful business as to lower standards. The universe is so organised that safety necessitates going forward and upward; even to stand still means death and decay. JThis is the law, and no one can disregard it with.impunity. Lower the monetary and currency standard of a nation the country's whole commercial fabric goes to pieces; lower the living standard of a peopleand you have social disintegration; lower standard and presently you have commercial piracy. So it is all along the line; it matters not whether it be, an individual or> a business concern, ;an industry "or a nation, whereon, standards are lowered disastersure to follow, We know it's difficult :M rising costs of raw materials, etc., to keep , up: the: standard in our Tailoring, Underwear, partments; but still we are doing it inMl our Imes. We are determined not to let our 54; years of building : up a big business drift or slip away forthe sake of ;keep-;, ing up the old standard, which means same old'quality at slightly;increased prices. We could prices,. which, of course, would mean sacrificing'■ of quality; but we stand firm to keep up the o}d standard. • , We know our reputation is at stake.
