DOVED4LE. ROAD BOARD. The Dovedale 'Road Board met on the 16th inst. (Th e . E-eturning Officer reported that •Messrs A. Jordan, A. Da vies, YV. M. Eawkes, and W. A. Thorn had beer elected as' members of the Board. Mr Thorn, being a .new* member,. was welcomed to the 'Board. The'secretary took the chair, and Mr Jordan was re-elected* chairman and Mr Ir3est treasurer for the ensuing year. "Resolved, that any two members and the treasurer be authorised to sign cheques. Warrants were ,signed for £3l 8s 3d. '■The secretary was instructed to ascertain 'whether th e accident policy taken out by the. Brtard covered bridge-build-ing risks. \ . A request was received from Mr H. TunniduTe for the «<videning arm 1 - .metalling of road in Jellyman's Valley, and offering to-spend £4 towards the carrying out of the work.—lt was resolved 1 to"spend £4. to meet the amount promised by Mr Ttinnicliffe. The secretary was intsructed to ring uo Mr Whiteside a.rd ascertain whether the County Council had any 3ft concrete pipes that it would supply to the Bq?.;d, and, if so, to order six and get them, carted on te the Win's Valley road as soon as possible, Mr Davies to get them put in. ' . Mr Loveridgo ,is to get a culvert on. the Moutere road repaired. .i Mr Best reported having had' one and a halfAiays' work done at the Cemetery. Resolved, thafc the Board meet at the 'Cemetery on May 26th, at 2 p.m. A warrant was signed for 13s 6d. The Board is to meet again on June 20th.
