RED CROSS

The monthly meeting of the Nelson Centre, Ked Cross, was held at Hallene.teins' rooms yesterday afternoon, Mrs W. Lock presiding. Accounts for material were passed amounting to £9 7s Bd. The secretary stated that the Dove . dale branch was doing very consistent work for the fund, the monthly remittance being always a substantial one. AH the branches, indeed, were keeping np wonderfully well, the £42 contributed by Murchison last month being a record for that branch for ordinary monthly collections, special efforts excluded. The sum of £SOO was cabled to Lort don during the month.
