■HftITPING HAND SHOP. The receipts at the Helping Hand Shop in aid of the Red Cross Fund this week came to -£lB 15s 6d, and the expenses were 5s 6d. The committee wish to thank the Trustees of the (Methodist 'Church for their contribution of fruit and vegetables from the harvest festival, the Boys' 'Central and Girls' Central Schools, and - contributors from Brightwater, Richmond, Stoke, T.ahunanui, • akapuaka, Atawhai, .Wakatu and Moutere; also monthly contributors from the Port. Special thanks are tendered to all kind friends who have responded to the appeal for sugar, and the committee again solicit- the return of bottles' for jam, sauce, etc. This week's takings for the Mayoress's Fla«- amounted to 15s, and it now has £B6 6s 6d to its credit.
