POSITION AT WELLINGTON' UNCHANGED. Pkess Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The position at the waterfront to-day is much the same as yesterday. The Wanganui boats worked cargo, but the Victoria, from Napier, is still idle, as the men declined to unload her. Most of the other vessels are hung up. Tho waterside workers' dispute was before the Conciliation .Commissioner today, when the assessors appointed for the Union by Commissioner Hagger, were in attendance. Mr Glover, one of the Union's assessors, stated that the Conciliation procedure was entirely new to his side, and asked questions relating to the course the proceedings would take. He'' said that before he could proceed with the aispute time was required in which to vott«ult the other unions and the executive of the local union. Mr Pry or, the employers' agent, agreed to this, and Mr Hagger adjourned the proceedings until Friday week. Mr Flavell (one of the employers' assessors) : We assume that the work will oe carried on in the meantime. : Mr Glover : I will do nothing to /stop it. ANCHOR- COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT. The Anchor Company received advice from Wellington that waterside labour is working all the vessels to-day, with the exception of the Victoria, and that is expected to be settled to-day. The Union labourers resume work today, but tho matter is not finally settled. The Kennedy and Nikau are working cargo to-day at Wellington, and will arrive in Nelson to-morrow. TTNIOiNI S.S, COMPA'NY. The Union Company will now accept cargo for shipment to Wellington. The Pateeii-a was detained at Wellington yesterday, owing to being unable to Obtain bunker coal, She therefore did not. come here this morning as usual. The Mapourika will not call here tomorrow, but will proceed fro n Wellington to the West Coast direct.
