The annual picnic in> connection •with. the Murchison School* :was held on Satxu'day^.lOth'inst.■ ,lu"had "been arranged to hold the picnic in l -cne of Mr E. . Kerr's paddocks, "'but the. weather turned out so wet and unfavourable that the committee decided to aise the Public Hall and have tlib.,various games in tho paddock at the rear of tho hall. ■Con- 1 : sidering the etato of the weather' there was a very large attendance.:ofj'tpupjlla', pa rente and friends. .Various games 'aridamusements, were indulged }Q, and-prizes given to the scholars. .
