' PROPOSED CHRYSANTHEMUM 7 > PAGEANT. A public meeting will be held in the Ci\." Council Chambers w-morrow evening under the a-uspices oi the Nelson Red Cross Centre to consider the proposal to hold a Chrysanthemum Pageant at •Trafalgar Park in April in aid of the Red Cross Funds. Increased activity at the front in the spring and summer is expected to make greater calls than ever 'upon the funds, and the proposal •has been brought forward wuii the view of augmenting local contributions. The scheme will include a number of novel • features, and assistance outside the regu- | lar workers in the cause is necessary. With the object of securing this a public meeting will be held as stated above. All who are in sympamy with the cause and are willing to assist are invited to be present.
