CONGREGATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL

AND PEIZE-GIVIKiG. ■:".- The anniversary tea and) prize-distri-ttration m connection with the Congregational Sunday School was held last evening There was a good- attendance at tea at 6 p.m., and. the children did full justice to the good things provided. The •meeting-, which •commenced at 7.30, was also well' attended. Mr T. Vercoe, Superintendent, (presided, and Miss EL .Smalt presented the prizes. The annual report and balance sheet, lead by the; secretary, Miss Gertrude Small, showed 80 children on the roll, «nd 11 teachersand officers. The school finances are at present in a satisfactory condition. following - scholars contributed to the programme :—Margaret and; Dcnah Born, Florence Vercoe, Phoebe Ingram, ILaureen Elliot, t Melba Leak, Gladys Kley, WiH Bastin, Claude Harford and Charlie Gaynor. contributed anthems. (■_ (During 1 the evening feeling reference ' was made «to the two pasr> scholars, Harry and !Prahk vßarltrop, who have recently made the supreme sacrifice for King and country.
