Buxton and Co., Ltd., report that the offerings submitted at the fortnightly sale held at Wellington on Friday last consisted of sheepskins,
'■hides, and wool (principally cxutchings). • rhe.sale -was Well attended iby.'.'■ buyers, and- competition throughout was keen and iinimated, prices for ' crutchings showing an average advance of gd per lb. over last sale, - and fleece wools also making slightly better prices. The demand! for sheepskins was good, values ranging up to 13£ d for supers, Svhich is almost a> record price for the local market, and hides showed' a marked advance of fully .id per lb oyer last fortnight; all sound lots being keenly sought after. All .bale lots of wool now coining to hand will he held for the.first wool sale of the season to be .held on 15th November, but the next fortnightly sale for "sMns, hades, J&n& oddments wall be' held on Friday, 27th as usual. The following is the range of prices current :■ —
