Tlie final meeting for the financial yea* of the directors of the Nelson Freezing Company, Ltd'., was held last evening, when the statement of accouuts for the year's transactions was placed before the board. The result disclosed was beyond all expectations, and it is understood ■that the directors purpose declaring a substantial dividend, and also makSng a rebate on freezing charges to shareholders who supplied stock to the works. The total quantity put through 'the works) during the ypnriod 'was 16,810 sheep, 22,220 lambs, and 1220 head of cattle, those figures b<Vig a very considerable injrense on those or any previous year.
