BRITISH CRUISER NOT IN AMERICAN WATERS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rec. July 28, 1.25 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 27. ■Sir C A. Spring-Race; British Ambassador, says that the Admiral denies that there is a cruiser in Chesapeake Bav. , The authorities are investigating the matter as to why a vessel which passed the -warship Louisiana signalled that she was a British cruiser, and also whether there was a sinister motive.
