WELLINGTON TRAGEDY
A MURDER CHAROU ' (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, duly 19. At the Magistrate's Court. Ernest Dovoin was committed for trial on a charge of murder as a sequel to the death of Louisa White, who died as the result of a wound from a revolver allegedly fired by Devoin on the night oi March "?7vh in the Nairn .street leserve. Devoin and White were Ui have beemarried in a lew clays. 1 hey went tor a walk to the reserve. While they were there shots were heard, and th? woman was found badly wounded in t-ne spine. Devoin was injured in the temple, havino- attempted suicide. Devoin was previously charged with attempted murder, but the woman was so critically ill tnen that the trial was adjourned in view of the possibility of a more serious charge.
