ENEMY STRONGLY REINFORCED
STUBBORN RESISTANCE OFFERED HEAVY FIGHTING AT JA BOISELLE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rec. July 5, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. The enemy has been reinforced by many battalions drawn from other parti of t']*e line, and continues to otter very stubborn resistance at 'all points. Heavy fighting occurred during the night in the vicinity of La Boissell--?. Our troops fought with great gallantrv against heavy attacks, and except for the German re-capture of a small portion of the defences south of the village, the situation has not changed. On the Somme progress was mad-3 dnvinc the night. Further south, our troons captured a w<">od, and prisoners were taken.
