OUTLOOK HOPEFUL. The "High. Commissioner reports : London, July 3, 4.55 p.m. Northwards of the Anere the position is unchanged. At Fri court our ipositions were advanced northwards to higher ground. The situation is promising. We- are bombarding Thiepval and La Boisselle. The 'Germans are bombarding Alontauban. Nk> damage Gas 'been done. The prisoners taken on. the British front total 4000.
