(From The Mail of 25th May, 1866.) The Wallaby arrived here on the 24th, at 12.30 p.m. She left Nelson on the 12tli, at 7 p.m., arrived off Tamil aki at 3 p.m. on the 13th, discharged! 50 tons flour, and' left for Wanganui at' 4 p.m. on the 14th, where she arrived at 9 a.m. on the 15th; she then loaded with cattle, and started for the Grey at 12 noon 17th, but was obliged' to put hack to 'Cape Egmont twice, owing to heavy S.E. gales. Left Capo "Kgmont at 8 a.m., 19th, and crossed the Grey bar on Sunday, the 20th, at 3 p.m. Passed the Claud Hamilton and Kennedy off Rock Point. Left the' Grey at 5 p.m. on 22nd, -with 90 passengers for , Buller River and 80 tons cargo. Entered the Buller River at 7 p.m. 23rd, and left again at 4 p.m. fcir Nelson, which she reached at aibovo stated, having had a smart run up from the Buller in 20£ hours. Most of the passengers from the Grey to the Buller intended to proceed to the Little Grey. Several storekeepers were amongst the passengers, who had been to the Grey to purchase' provisions. Other's intended to proceed along tho north beacli of the Buller for the [ urpose of thoroughly iprospecting the country. Most of the dipgera had provisions to last .for a fortnight. Tlie Superintendent of Nelson was at' tlie Grey when the Wallaby left, and had been several miles up tne north beach with the Gold Warden of Cobden, for the purpose of inspecting the country.
