" Regarding'the criticism of the Ma«< heno's return, 'the Government has issued a statement that both ships were placed unreservedly at the' disposal*, of the Imperial Government. Referring 'to the embarkation of a large numbet- of convalescent enteric cases, Surgeon-General Henderson says that .the far more suitable place for'carriers or suspected carriers is ott ' a hospital ship than on a transport.
