The business section of the town -was destroyed by fire, causing £200,000 damage. The trouble commenced- in an attempt to reduce the wages of the Tubing Mill_ employees by '25 cents -daily. The strikers took possession of the ' streets, looted, and then fired a saloon. Drink maddened they attacked other saloons and subsequently large general stores on-the main street/ Of -twenty saloons • the town only had two nnburned, and they Were looted. '" • ■ -
