Hudson acknowledges the following subscriptions and donations handed over to her by' Mrs (Dr.) Dock and hot previously published, audi also publishes the statement of accounts to 31st D'ecember. Mrs Hudson thanks all kind donors and subscribers who liave so generously! and consistently ihblped tho fund since it was started in March last with the following result: 2227 new garments sent to Lady French for our soldiers' and sailors' children in the maternity hospitals, 336 new garments for babies and 3 cases second-hand garments for the mothers to Mrs Melland for tho very poor in Manchester and Liverpool, , and" to her daughter for the little children in a French -hospital, where she lias, been sent as* nurse by the Red Cross Society. In addition to the cash balance there 'is also a- good supply of material,' thanks to the liberal terms given where purcliased, for the making of garments for the next shipment, so it is proposedto send some of the money to Mrs Melland to provide milk, etc., for sickly "babies. Mrs Hudson wishes to specially thank Mrs Deck for taking over tho ■ fund during her absence from Motuoka, a-nd Mrs Mace for her help in cutting out garments, which 'will in future be distributed and received at the Red Cross rooms on Tuesdays,.
