"• Tile taking's at the Helping Hand Shop yesterday gave a net return for the Red Cross Fund of £ll 2s 7d.v Contributions were s-ant in from ■ city residents, arid also from- Wakapuaka, Richmond, Hope, Appleby, Wakefield, Upper Motltere, and Tadmor. Assisting Mrs Kelling were Mesdames Percy Bond, and Claude Hamilton and Misses Ewart, Baumiber, and Davidson. A number of Boy Scouts were also in attendance. RED CROSS FUND, Mr J. P. Hayes acknowledges :—Helping Hand Shop, net receipts, £ll 6s 7d, including 10s for Red Cross booklets; Ngatitama-street monthly, collection, per Mrs Lemmer, £3 10s,- Ngatiawa-street monthly collection, per -Mrs Lemmer, £5 6s; J. and J. Rait, Owen Junction, £1; net proceeds- organ- recital kindly given by Mr W. Raget Gale, of Dunedin, £1 lis 3d. ' .
