SYDNEY, Oct. 14. A cyclone struck Bourke, and two inches of rain fell im teni minutes. Hardly a building in the town escaped damage. A large public hall and a number of smaller places were -razed, and many buildings were unroofed. The damage runs into thousands. There were many narrow escapes and a few minor accidents.
