It showed an increase of membership. . The deposits at the. Public Trust Office after payment. of £2OO to the Distressed New Zealandeis' Fund amounted to £1264 3s 4d. The Provident Fund stood at £754 2s Id, and the Legal Assistance Fund at £IOOO. Several remits were withdrawn on the ground that the time was considered inopportune for pressing for any increases in salaries.
