The flames swept the top floor, used as a soft goods warehouse by Archibald Clarke'and Sons, Ltd.y arid ■completely destroyed the large stock. .Thestock was insured for £ISOO in the Now. Zealand Office and £ISOO in theS<>uth British. The sticiik on tho ground floor, owned by Ford and Mirams, 'was alsodamaged.' ;
