SEVERE GERMAN REVERSE. HEAVY LOSSES SUSTAINED. (Official.) PETROGRAD, July 8. The enemy were repulsed in complete disorder in- the Urezendow district. The enemy have been compelled to pass to the defensive along the road between Krasnyk and the riveVs Bystritza and Kossajevka. We captured 2000 prisoners and several machine guns. ; The enemy have been compelled to suspend their offensive between Kamionka and Gliniany, suffring severe losses. A GERMAN STATEMENT. LONDON, July 7. A German official statement says : "We are threatening Lublin, Ivangorod, and Warsaw. . We - frustrated Russian efforts'to" break through the' Austrian front between, the Pruth and the Dniester. The Russians are using naval guns from Krotistadt and other fortresses. Several have been captured. We are progressing west of the Upper Vistula. During the pursuit towards Zlialipa on Saturday ■ and Monday we took prisoner 3850 Russians." AN AUSTRIAN ADMISSION. VIENNA, July 8. A telegram from Lemberg states that the Austro-German armies are pursuing the Russians on the Vistula. Terrible losses resulted '.from' a, Jcountar-attack thirty kilometres north of Tomaszow, where the Russians fell on the right flank, routing a whole division, taking 2000 prisoneTs, and capturing numerous guns. Thousands of wounded are continually arriving at Paroslav, and Lemberg. RUSSIAN RESERVES ARRIVING. VIENNA, July 8. An official statement admits that the battle northward of Krasnyk.has become fiercer owing to the participation of strong Russian reserves.
