PHYSICAL INSTRUCTION FOR TEACHERS

CLASSES IN NELSON,

Physical classes for teachers under the jurisdiction of the Nelson Education. Board, will commence in Nelson on Monday, and continue until the 21st inst. In all, about 181 teachers (139 females and 42 males) will attend the classes, which will be under the control of Mr S. A. Moore, chief physical instructor for the South Island, who will have the assistance of several departmental instructors. Mr. Moore has just completed a course of instruction for teachers at Dunedin, where 680 were present. The instruction will be given in the gymnasia of the Boys' and Girls' Colleges, and in the Presbyterian and Methodist Snnday Schools. The teachers will meet at the Boys' Central School on Monday morning, at 9.15. The schools will be closed during the period the classes are being held.
