Speaking in. the House of Lords, the Marquis" of Crewe, replying to questions regarding the censorship, said that there were 12(f oiblte and wireless stations outside of Britain, and there had been _no censoring at many of them. Interference with commercial .activities had beep reduced to a minimum, but the greatest care was necessary in order to prevent 'news reaching the enemy. . jj j " Fifty thousand telegrams, added, were icensored daily in Great Britain by 180 censors. : There were 400 censoroinciftls throughout, the Empire—responsible persons of undoubted integrity.'
