AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr Cutten, S.M., giving, his reserved decision, at the inquest on the body of Margaret . Dewes, who was killed by the sudden dropping of a lift in Hobson Buildings, found acjjdent was -due to the.neglect of Henry Renner, the lift attendant, aged 17, to place the control lever at the neutral position when he opened the door t oallow the deceased to alight. The employment of this boy wafs a breach of the, Act, but there was no evidence that any person .was guilty of such a, degree of negligence that he could be found guilty of manslaughter.'
