EFFECTIVE ARTILLERY FIRE. (Official.) PARIS, Feb. 18. Our artillery destroyed many bivouacs, and ammunition convoys between the sea ,an<l the Oise. W« captured two lines of trenches north of Arras, inflicting heavy losses. We carried, more positions near Perthes, and made progress at La.grurie, inflicting vei'y severe losses. We also progressed at several points between the Argonne and the Meuso, and also in Alsace. * A MORTAR CAPTURED. (Received Feb. 19, 1.10 p.m.) PARIS, Feb. 18. A communique states: "We captured a mortar and 100 bombs in the German trenches north of Arras. "Progress" elsewhere was maintained."
