SHOCKING TREATMENT BY GERMANS LONDON, l<eb, 17. Monsignor Dewachter, Bishop to Cardinal Mercier, preaching at Willesden (Middlesex) said that four priests, who had returned from Germany, informed him that while prisoners they were •riven the foulest and vilest work to do. As prisoners they were brought out with English and French .prisoners and placed against a wall, and told they were to be shot. They stood-, for un hour before levelled rifles. A fortnight previously they had been, told the execution had been postponed. The same announcement- was made daily. . It was small wonder that many were driven insane.
