"THE UNSEEN WITNESS.
The attractive bill of fare set forth last evening at the Lyric Theatre was greatly enjoyed by a crowded audience. The star picture of the new list is "A Forest Romance," and the.story deals with Indian love and hate, the heroine's role being eharminglv acted by Mona Darkfeather.' The settings of this .film are quite a feature apart from powerful acting. Another favourite last night was the drama, "At the Foot of the Hills." showing in realistic style how in old soldier, who was treated as a childish old man by his children, saved the lives of his grandchildren" from fire while the parents were entertaining company, "The final scenes showing how.the "old "un" made good brought ' down'the house. "The Brute", is an interesting drama' with a moral; and' "Pearl's Hero'-' is'a fun raiser above the average,; 'but the gem of the evening in the hu'mr.rous line was "Murphy and the .Mermaids," and it is-the best comedy from the A.B. siailio for some time, and as all this company's humorous productions are drawing cards, this is praise "indeed. In addition to the pictures mentioned t, special attraction is advertised for this evening, the proprietor.having secured at great expense the photoplay which has caused a " furore in picture circles, viz., "The Unseen Witness." or "The Man Beneath tlie Sofa.'" This film can only retained for a short season, and durits currency seats may be reserved at Hounsell's without extra charge.
