MASTERTON SHOW

(Umii*d AasooiAitom.) MASTERTON, Feb. 16. The - annual show of the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association opened to-day in fine weather, and with a large attendance. The show of fat stock was pronounced to be one of the finest ever seen fir the Dominion. The Championship Wheeler Shield, competed for under the auspices of the Romney Marsh Breeders' - Association, was won by W. Perry. Other championships were as follows : Shropshire : H. D. Vavasour, ram and ewe. Lincoln.: Rum, D. McDonald; ewe, Hy. Gainsford. English Leicester : Ram and ewe, S. R. Lancaster. Border Leicester: Ram and ewe, J. A. Welsh. Romney Marsh : Ram, Walter Perry ; ewe,' G._E. Allen. Southdown : Rani and ewe, Fernie and Ftiehmond. Shorthorn: Cow and bull, W. Howard Booth. Hereford: Cow and bull, E. Short. Jersey : Heifer, S. R. Lancas*er. Holstein Friesian: Cow and bull, W. J. Loveiqck. Fat cattle : Bullock and cow. Sir Walter Buchanan. .
