For this match M. Gihlin (Old Boys) and WhitveU (College) replace Neale and who are unable to play Team wil\ leave Church. Steps at 8.30. INTERESTING RECORDS. The secretary of the Nelson Cricket Association (Mr E. R. Xeale) has compiled' X very comprehensive and interesting record ©€ Nelson cricket. The compilation -has taken a very long time to accomplish, having extended over several years.

With the exception of some information kiudlv supplied to Mr Neale by Mr T. W; R~eese, of Cbristehurch, the whole of the records, notes, etc., have had to be extracted- from old newspaper files. Thore seems to have been absolutely no attempt made at any time during the past to keep any records -whatever, * J even the old minute books and rep. s' oie books of the Association are missing. The lists of repj matches, of century partnerships, and of individual scores, are probably as complete as they will ever be made, but the notes on the. games and incidents connected therewith are compiled partly from data found in tho course of searches, and partlv from the secretary's own knowledge. There must be many notable apart ?j'om these, which can now only be urought to licni by some cf the old players connected with them. The hope is expressed thafc the publication of these iiiturfsD : ng statistics will have the effect of rnak;'r.g mme of the "old stagers" hunt up any hooks or .papers they may Live co::tdiu.ing particulars of any kind, and Mr Neale will be very pleased to receive either books or. papers or personal statements of interest from.any old i-iayefs wt care to send them in.

The records will be published liora time to time until the list is complete. The first instalment is given as follows*— SENIOR REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES.
