SPURT IN RECRUITING
RESULT OF THE RAID. j "LONDON, Dec. .17. The news of-the -raid, at .many .places, both on the coast and inland, has caused a marked spurt-in recruiting. A wounded lieutenant and *ix :nen from a destroyer were taken to tal at- South Shields. They stated three German cruisers, and four destroyers attacked the Tyhe flotilla., A shell; exploded on board the destroyer, and wounded others besides the seven.
