Probably Mm. best vase iii the show was Mr G. AV' - Harkness's exhibit of Charles Foster, described as magnificent . .blooms.' Amongst others that stood out prominently were such varieties as King White, (May Campbell, Florence Nightingale,' Thomas Stevenson, Barbara, Edith la>> lor, and Mrs CW. Breadmoie. xn» novice <?1 ass iilled well and made a creditable display- The Boys' Central bchooE exhibit came in for special mentionThe carnations were a considerable advance on last years's, the, Marsdcn challenge cup being won by :Mr G. G>. Weaiv ing with a very creditable display. in cut blooms Mrs Kitchuyr'-filiowcd a very fiiio collection of ' six* delphiniums.' . in pot plants the begonias' shown.- were specially fine, and' sbniQ. Very nice and wcubloomcd pelargoniums were also seen.; while- three pot-.plaiflW ui bloom, consisting of 2 amarylfis and a begonia - wore very pure in colour-.
