At the Addington live stock market to-day the features of the fat stock yardings were the large entry of fat lambs and the high qualitv of some of the tat cattle. There was an improved demand i for beef, and fat lambs sold well. Store i sheep of good quality sold at last week s > rates, but inferior sorts were easier, and ' fat sheep were not so firm. I Store sheep: Wooly four-tooth wethers to 19s 6d, good forward four-tooth ! wethers 17s to 18s 6d, dry four and six- ' tooth ewes 16s Bd, forward two-tooth wethers to 16s Bd, fair two-tooth wethers 14s to 15s 4d, inferior two-tooth wethers lis to 13s 6d, two-tooth ewes 15s to 15s Id, good two-tooth ewes to 19s 6d. NAPIER WOOL SALES. NAPIER, Dec. 16The second wool sale of the season was held to-day, when 18,964 bales were offered to the usual attendance of buyers. The condition of the wool was not up to the average, it being heavier in grease and containing a large quantity of dust. There was a general falling eff in prices. The drop in the higher grades was from Arl to |H per lb, and .on inferior wools from Id to lid. The range of prices, as oomoaied with November, was as folds' Best half bred lOd to 12£ d (13d to 14-Jd), medium half bred to llfd (ll£d to 121 d), scoured crossbreds to 15d, fine crossbred 9|d to Hid (12* d to 13d), medium crossbred 9id to 10£ d (10£ d to Hid ) coarse crossbreds 8d to lOid (9gd to lid), inferior 7£d to 8d (Bid to Bjd), pieces 6d to 9d {7±d to Bid), bellies 6d to ffd (6|d to 7|dh locks 43 to ttd (4|d to 6d), lambs' lOd to 133 d <Bd to dead B£d to 9£d (Bid to 10d).
