CITY OF NELSON. TTENTION is vailed to the . WATERWORKS BY-LAW, which forbids (inter alia) : The use during- prohibited hours of Water supplied from -the Water-works for any of the following purposes, namely:— Washing by means of a, Hose any Footpath, Building, Vehicle, or other thing. Watering any Garden, Lawn,' Orchard, or other place, or anything growing or being thereon. Allowing Water to run from any hose attached to any tap or pipe connected -with the Waterworks, whether for the purpose of irrigation or otherwise. Allowing -water to run to waste at It is also an offence against the By-law for any person to use, or cause to be used, a Hose or other similar contrivance for watering any garden or washing down any house or shop front or footpath, or "for any purpose whatever, unless during the*whole time of such use such hose or other contrivance shall beheld by hand, and directed by some competent person.
