GOEBEN AND BRESLAU
GERMAN GREWS REPLACED BY TURKS. CONSTANTINOPLE, Aug. 15, (morning). The Goeberi' and the Breslau have been re-named the Sultan Yawuz Serim •and the Midellu. The Porte assured Russia ithat the Germans would immediately disembark and be replaced by Turkish crews under Admiral Limpus. Turkey had no intention to employ the vessels against Russia. Turkey believes that the purohase will calm popular indignation due to the seizure of the Osman and the Reshadieh. It is reported that Turkey paid Germany 80,000,000 marks 'for the battleships. Reiiter points out that the CJoeben's speed and. guns are so superior to those of any ship in the Russian/ Black Sea squadron that she could destroy any vessel aliroet without danger, but it is doubtful if Turkish officers and gunners are sufficiently experienced.
