COMMITTEE MEETING
The monthly meeting of the general committee of the Nelson A. and P. Association was held at RTchmond on Sat urdav night. Mr Tlios. Holland .(vicepresident), presided in the unavoidable absence of tho President.
Miss Marsden and Mr F. W. Thomas were elected new members. It was resolved to fall in a suggestion tliat all associations in Now Zealand should offer a prize for the best pen of fat sheep and lainbs shown at their forthcoming shows, the winning animals to become the property of the association, to be then' slaughtered, placed) in cool store, and subsequently shipped to San Francisco to compete at the Panama-Pacific Exposition against the mutton and lamb ol the "world. The Government was stated to be arranging for free railage, freight and space at the Fx position. It was decided that the Nelson Association send lambs only. It was resolved to hold a stallion parade on Wednesday, 23rd September. The vice-president and Mr W. D. were to revi-e 1 prize money on schedule in conjunction with the secretary. It was resolved that in future the meetings of the committee start, at 7.15 P- m - , ~ A voto of thanks was passed to the vice-president for his -work in connection with the lopping of trees on Richmond Park. _ Accounts amounting to £22 Os 9d were passed for payment.
