DETERMINED MINORITIES AGAINST UNION. (Press Association. —Copyright.) LONDON, May 26. There was keen public interest in the annual debate on church union iby members of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and of the United Free Church, at Edinburgh.. In both Houses Of Assembly determined minorities revealed themselves, bu-t after animated discussions the official leaders were supported in their policy of conciliation and rapprochement by overwhelming majorities. The criticism took the form of an at + em>pt to multiply' the doctrinal affirmations in the constitution.
