The Commonwealth Postmaster-General las announced that there are to 'be no more one penny steel-engraved stamps. Philatelists, therefore, have cause for rejoicing. Already a million of these stamps have 'been placed in v circulation. A world-wids.protest was made by tho philatelists when a second million was issued Mr Wynne has decided that in future only the 2id, 6d, and Is stamps will be produced from steel-engraved plates. Other varieties will >bs printed by the electrotype process.
