NELSON ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Nelson Hockey Association was held last night at the Cooperative Rooms, Hardy-street, the fol- > lowing delegates were present :—Messrs Debley, Fittall, Oldershaw, Stratton, . Guthrie, Ryder, Hockey. Savage, and ■ the secretary. J It was resolved that the championship • fixtures commence on Saturday, , 16th. Resolved': "That three rounds bo ■ played in the men's senior and junior competitions." i Resolved : "That the secretary be Ufl& Icd to visit Takaka in connection iwifW hockey matters in that district." Resolved : "That it be. a. suggestion to the fixture committee that ono Saturday a month be sot aside for repra-, sentative practice." Resolved : "That the secretary v/ri(e> / to the Wnirarn'pn. Association asking them to exchange dates : n connection ■with the Norden cup matches." Four senior and three junior teams have entered for the men's competitions, and six teams have entered' for the ladies' championship. SIX-A-STDE "TOURNAMENT. On Saturday the opening of the season will take place,, when a men's senior and junior six-a-sido tournament "will be held : also a teams' relay race of 200 yards. The following are the drawings in connection with the matches:— SENIOR 1 First Round. Waimea A v. Federal R. ; Nelson A v. Stoke B. Federal A v. Stoke A. Second Hound. Stoke, Federal, Nelson, and' Waimea Lave entered one team each for the relay race. Given fine •weather, an interesting afternoon's sport'should bo witnessed.
