HARBOUR CONTROL
STATE OR OTHERWISE?
LONDON, May 4. Expert evidence given before tho Blyth (Northumberland) Harbour Commission was unanimously to the effect that it would be a mistake'to place tho harbours under State control, the Liver* pool and Glasgow harbours having achieved greatness because they had been managed by the ship-owners., merchants, and traders, who understood their requirements.
