(Received April 30. 9 a.m.) » HONG KONG, April 29. The crew of the Taion (the British steamer which was held up and. burnt bv Chinese pirates) was crowded with the corpses of gallant Portuguese. The watchman at Dian was amongst the rescued. (Received April 30. 8.5 a.m.) HONG KONG, April .29. Two torpedoers proceeded to the Taion. The captain of the Taion shot several pirates dead. The Portuguese watchman displayed great gallantry, shooting the pirates till the vessel caught fire. His fate is unknown.
