C..T.C. MEETING. /United Pbess Association 1 SOCKBURX, This Day. The Canterbury Jockey Club's Autumn meeting was continued in glorious weather. There was again a large attendance. Results; — Peerswick Hurdles : Kilmenv 1. Daylight Bill 2, Cardiff 3. All started. Goldseeker led from Cardiff down the straight. Cornelian lying last. Round Ihe back Cardiff went out. and at the kix furlongs Kilmeny ran into second place. A nice race ensued, Kilmeny winning by half a length, with two lengths between second and third horses. .Cornelian was fourth. Time 3.14 2-5. Autumn Nursery Handicap.—Charmilla 1, Beo 2. Findhorn 3. Scratched : Fabrikoff and La Favourita. Honesty lost his rider. With the nor'-wester behind them, the field raced fast u> the straight, where Bee and Findhorn were in charge. Charrr.illa came with a meat burst from the distance, and cut down the leaders, and won by half a head. Time, 1.11 4-sth—an Australasian record.
Yaldhurst Welter Handicap.—Obsono 1, Glenowl 2. Free 5. Scratched: Canute. Sveaborg, Foveat Belle. Obsono came through at the distance, and won by half a length, Free half a length back, Taskmaster fourth.
