A meeting of Methodists in connection with the conference inaugurated a thanksgiving fund to mark the centenary of Methodism- in Australia. Over £7OOO was promised in the room. It was stated that now there were 995 ministers and 621,374 attendants at Methodist, churches in Australia and the Pacific islands.
CASH FOR TEA-DRINKERS. The enterprising Reward Scheme conducted for tne benefit of consumers o. that superb tea, "Stand-Out," is not a lottery, but a generous cash distribution madp every six months. The money prizes range from 5s to £5. * There are also a large number of consolation prizes ol 2s 6d. To qualify for a prize, competitors must send in coupons from Stand-Out Tea packets totalling at least fifty points. Entries closo 15th June ana 15th December.
