The final wool sale of the season attracted a large attendance of buyers, competition being good from Bradford, -Continental, and local operators. The condition of the wool generally was heavy, consisting largely of back-coun- | try lots. Prices to-day were from- par; to id up en half-bred and fine cross-1 bred, id to fd upon medium and coarse crossbreds, id to %d up on pieces. The prices to -day, clompared w:th those at the February sale, are as follows: Super Merino, Februarv, up to 12id, March, none; Merino, 9|d to lid, 9d to lPi-d; half-bred medium, 9Jd to lid, 9£d to lid- cross-bred super, 10£ dto Hsflj lOid* to Hid; crossbred medium, 9£d tt; lOid, 9|d to crossbred, coayse. E. Buxton and Co.. Ltd., received the following cable to-day from their London agents. Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co.-.—"Sales opened • strong. Large attendance of buyers. Competition brisk. Merino and fine crossbred advanced 7* to 10 per cent. Crossbred coarse to medium 10 to 15 per cent, advance." Dalcetv and . Coi, Ltd.. Nelson, received the fallowing telegram from their Wellington office under date 3rd mst : "Wool sales very successful. Best </t season. Large attendance of buyers.. Competition from Bradford and Continent and local huvers excellent and very animated. Condition of wool, heavy. Offerings, back country lots consisting «eedy and logstained. Notwithstanding this advance recorded par to fat-hing halfbred and fine crossbredj halfpenny to threefarthings medium and coarse crossbred, farthing to halfpenny pieces, halfpenny lamb's wool."
